**Wanzeller** and [ACEMEL - Portuguese Association of Energy Retailers in the Liberalised Market](https://acemel.pt/) formalised, on 1 July 2026 in Lisbon, a collaboration protocol to frame **Check NicePayer** for the energy sector. The initiative positions the platform as a tool to support **debtor list** governance, **commercial credit analysis** and the protection of business relationships between companies.

The document was signed by [**Wenderson Wanzeller**](https://wendersonwanzeller.com/), for Wanzeller, by [**João Nuno Serra**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jo%C3%A3o-nuno-serra-b18494b/), President of ACEMEL and CEO of ENFORCESCO/Yes Energy, and by [**Carlos Moreno**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/carlosfilipemoreno/), Board Member of ACEMEL and CEO / Founding Partner of Usenergy. The institutional preparation and processing of the protocol also included the coordination of [**Ana Bernardo**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ana-bernardo-52b2b6b1/), Executive Director of ACEMEL.

For Wanzeller, the protocol is an **institutional milestone**. It formalises the application of a proprietary platform designed to reduce uncertainty in commercial relationships within a sector association with an organised presence in the liberalised energy market.

For ACEMEL, which brings together [**22 active members**](https://acemel.pt/associados/), the collaboration creates a framework to assess, communicate and consult relevant information on **commercial default** with criteria, governance and traceability.

> The protocol with ACEMEL reinforces Check NicePayer’s mission: to transform dispersed information about commercial risk into useful digital infrastructure for safer, more predictable and more responsible decisions.

## Debtor list and commercial credit analysis in the energy sector

The energy sector operates with recurring contracts, financial exposure, payment terms and ongoing relationships between companies. In this environment, a well-governed **debtor list** is not only a register: it is an instrument of **prevention**, transparency and commercial responsibility.

**Check NicePayer** was presented to ACEMEL as a private platform to register and consult information about **overdue commercial debts**, support **commercial credit analysis** processes and reduce information asymmetries before new decisions on supply, payment terms or financial exposure.

For additional technical context, NicePayer maintains a public explanation of [what a debtor list is, how it works and how to consult it](https://nicepayer.com/pt-br/blog/lista-de-devedores-o-que-e-como-funciona-e-como-consultar/). In the protocol with ACEMEL, this concept gains an association and sector framework, with potential to support companies that need to assess risk more objectively.

## Technological context with SIBS LAB

The evolution of **Check NicePayer** is also connected to Wanzeller’s institutional path within the **SIBS LAB** ecosystem. The platform was presented at an **ACEMEL Board meeting**, in an institutional setting involving Wanzeller and SIBS, reinforcing the project’s technological, experimental and institutional dimension.

This context is relevant because it positions the platform as a structured development solution focused on [debtor lists, risk analysis and the protection of commercial relationships](/noticias/lista-de-devedores-b2b-wanzeller-reforca-parceria-institucional-com-a-sibs-no-check-nicepayer/). The articulation with institutional partners connects **technology, governance and real market needs**.

> **Nota:** The agreement with ACEMEL creates an institutional reference for sector associations assessing commercial credit analysis technology as collective infrastructure for trust.

## Expected impact for sector associations

The **ACEMEL-Wanzeller protocol** points to a replicable path for other business associations: combining institutional governance, objective criteria and a digital platform prepared to communicate **sensitive commercial information** securely and with practical value.

When an association creates conditions for its members to consult risk signals in an organised way, the market tends to gain **predictability**. The proposal does not replace internal credit policies, contracts or legal assessment; it adds a **structured information layer** to support decisions and reduce room for moral hazard.

## Next institutional step

Wanzeller treats the protocol with ACEMEL as a **reference for the institutional expansion** of Check NicePayer. The goal is to mobilise associations, companies and partners looking for more transparent mechanisms to deal with **commercial default**, payment history and commercial credit analysis.

The case brings together three central elements: **ACEMEL**, a sector association with reach in the energy market; a **Portuguese technology platform** focused on commercial credit analysis; and an institutional collaboration movement to transform information into protection for commercial relationships.
